Step 1 (porch/entry way) of our entire home redecoration is complete!
The paint colour is one we created ourselves. This isn't a new concept for us. We should be working for
Benjamin Moore! Our initial paint colour didn't look the way we wanted, so we got to work mixing colours in with it until we created this colour!
The bench looked like this before.....
It got a coat of brown paint and a new cushion cover and a couple of throw pillows....
As I recently posted, we created a coat rack using a Boston header.....
It too got a coat of brown paint and some hooks......
And the mini project I gave you a sneak peak of earlier this week sits atop the coat rack....
I made it from a large piece of driftwood I had left over from this past summer. Painted in aqua, distressed with brown craft paint which I also used for the writing.
And without any further delay, here are the before and afters.......
BEFORE......
AFTER......
Soooo much better! The once cluttered and horribly messy entryway is now tidy and pretty! We did a major purge to get rid of old coats, hats, mittens, gloves, scarves and boots which made a big difference.
Now it's on to the next stage of the makeover....laundry area!
Until next time...
